that laugh sounded like safety, by Zane Frederick

it was like hearing sirens,

a laugh as loud as an

ambulance when it

flashes in the rearview

mirror of my mind,

i move out the way

and i hate the way that felt,

watching the laughter

speed away from me

while it goes to save

someone else
