Untitled, by Peach Delphine

Hands, wave polished
shell smooth,
mouth of whelk and conch,
each breath
an exhalation of sea
on shore.
Embrace me now before tide reclaims
what the greater body
will not release,
this form is not meant
for your atmosphere
these limbs, these eyes,
will not bear the weight
of so much wind
or the emptiness
of your horizons
